Since 1990

Our origins date back to 1990. We realised that there was a chronic imbalance between negative and positive ions in the air of our living spaces. Negative ions, which are important for our health, were in short supply. Thus, our second company, IONEX, specialised in air ionisation, was founded in 2002. Since its early beginnings, we have been intensively researching air ionisation, its effects on human health and developing a number of products in this field, which have produced many encouraging results and a lot of feedback from satisfied customers and patients.

Lorena Leonardos, our innovator and founder of IONEX, first wanted to remove cigarette smoke and odour from the air. She found that negative ions also have beneficial effects on concentration, breathing and allergies, so she undertook a lot of research and found that many scientific studies have been carried out in this field and that negative ions have been proven to relieve allergy symptoms and asthma.

She was convinced that there had been an improvement in these results, and she was right. The air ioniser technology of the time only allowed short-term inhalation of negative ions because air ionisers produced harmful ozone as a by-product. She invented and patented a specially designed carbon brush that emits the maximum amount of negative ion without the presence of dangerous ozone. As a result, negative ion treatment can be carried out indefinitely, allowing faster and, most importantly, lasting results.

That's why IONEX was the first company to proudly present fantastic results, such as the complete elimination of allergic and asthmatic symptoms in many patients. All the findings and feedback from the cured patients and their doctors were published in Negative ions as a method of healing - Evidence from scientific institutes around the world in 2016.

We have developed a wide variety of models for use in different environments and a special model for integration into air conditioning systems, ventilation systems, cars, vacuum cleaners, kitchens, bathrooms, etc... We can adapt to customer needs very quickly and efficiently. We are able and interested to cooperate with other industries such as automotive and HVAC.

We have obtained all the necessary certificates and stamps of approval from SIQ (CE, IEC, CB, EMC, LVD, ROHS), German (TUV, GS) and the Slovenian Institute for Workplace Safety. Negative ion emission measurements carried out at the Jožef Stefan Institute prove that IONEX air ionisers are the strongest on the market in terms of negative ion count.

In addition to ionisers IONEX also offers other health-friendly products such as zaper (removes parasites), Polarity toothbrush and Ionic Hair Brush.
